Beginning your journey with us in Team 7
Our Academy Just Cause is ‘Creating a Community of Choices and Chances’, meaning we are all at our best when we work together. This runs through the fabric of Oasis Academy Oldham. We are extremely proud of the facilities we have here and when OAO students make the right Choices, the Chances that come their way are fantastic.
In Year 7, our Mission Statement is ‘Building a strong foundation for success in the future by establishing a positive Culture for Learning’. We have the highest expectations of every student.
Our academic results are improving each year, and many strategies in place have been recognised by Ofsted during their recent visit as moving the academy forward at pace. We place a great deal of emphasis on the development of Literacy, Sport & Wellbeing, Creativity and Numeracy in order to provide a broad and balanced curriculum underpinned by a rock-solid foundation of skills.
We are also acutely aware of the Extended Curriculum and its importance in developing Character, Resilience, Cultural Capital, our 9 Habits and a genuine, lifelong love of learning. Opportunities within our Extended Curriculum Offer (ECO) include clubs such as Choir, Football, Rock Band, LGBTQ+ Club, Graphic Design Club, Table Tennis and our School Newspaper to name but a few.
It is these characteristics which will ensure the success of all those young people who are part of the Oasis Community and are prepared to seize the opportunities which are placed before them.
We are absolutely thrilled that you have successfully gained a place in Team 7 for your child at OAO. That we are oversubscribed is testament to the work we have done over the past two years.
We cannot wait to welcome you and your child to the Oasis Community!
