On Friday 16th July our Year 9 students, after winning Regionals in June, competed at the WildED 2021 National Take Action Competition. They were tasked with a 20 minute challenge to upcycle random one use plastic, and explain how it would be used in Oasis Oldham to increase biodiversity.
Our winning Group “Diversity Matters” won creating Oasis Oldham’s Bug Hotel, and explaining how they upcycled plastic as ideal for invertebrates they had researched therefore increasing the biodiversity seen in Oasis Oldham.
Well done to the team
“Diversity Matter” - Hasan, Samyaan, Ibrahim, Joshua, Zidan and Samuel.
