Immersive French Breakfast Experience

Immersive French Breakfast Experience

On Friday 1st March, students in years 7, 9, 10 and 11 were invited to attend an immersive French breakfast experience. Our auditorium was transformed into a French restaurant and students were transported to ‘France’ where they were taught lots of new vocabulary and by the end of the session, were successful in ordering both their food and drinks in French.

The session began with some interactive activities which included learning how to say: plate, spoon, fork, knife, bowl etc and learning what was on the menu. They were very enthusiastic and mastered their pronunciation. Students then enjoyed hot chocolate, croissants, pain au chocolates and tartine among other things, all ordered in French of course!

After breakfast activities included French puzzles and speaking challenges, all of which were tackled by our students with positivity and determination.

We received wonderful feedback from the visiting company. They said that one of the highlights was how much our students were helping each other out and the level of resilience shown even during the challenging moments!
